He looks like McCartney, AND he's an all-star?! WHOOOOO! Double threat guy!

According to the the Inquirer’s Sam Carchidi and the lovely folks at Broad Street Hockey via TSN’s Darren Dreger, Flyers forward Danny Briere has been named as an injury replacement for the 2011 NHL All-Star Game.

Briere will join real-life roomie Claude Giroux as the pair will represent the Philadelphia Flyers in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday, January 30.

Briere, the Flyers leader in overall points (27 G, 14 A, 41 P), was initially considered a snub when All-Star rosters were announced on January 11th. Briere was (and still is) sixth in goals in the NHL when the announcement was made and he continues to be on pace to challenge his own previous regular season totals in points.
